These are unregistered papers relating to the establishment, responsibilities, and activities of the Committee. The papers deal with: the establishment and background of the Committee; proposed decorations, designs and discussions, including a proposed birthday cake and other competition entries; the planning, design, specifications, location, erection, contracts, dismantling and disposal of the decorative structures situated in Sydney; designs, material specifications and manufacture of banners, flags and flagpoles; and the location and planning of "flights" of flags; tender specifications and location of lights; minutes of meetings of the Flag Sub-committee and General Services Co-ordinating Committee; financial reports, budgets and estimates; liaison with agencies and sponsors; publications; newspaper clippings; and security.
