The Commissions contain the Executive Council Minute and a listing of the names of newly appointed Justices of the Peace. The appointments are all usually made on specific days in the month when they are all approved together.

The series also contains applications for appointment as a Justice of the Peace. These contain nomination forms, which are available from local M.P's; references; reports from the Department of Motor Transport on any traffic offences; reports from the Police Department on any criminal convictions, and other relevant information.
