Full description

These volumes record compensation and other payments relating to properties resumed for government purposes. The volumes were kept by the Resumed Properties Department and later the Valuer General.

The properties were resumed under the Land for Public Purposes Acquisition Act of 1880 (Act 44 Vic. No.16) and the Public Works Act 1900 (Act No.26, 1900).
