This series records the history of council amalgamations in New South Wales from the 18 County Councils managing the supply of electricity and its customers to four Major Metropolitan County Councils.
The series is made up of files relating to amalgamations and includes proposals, maps of county areas, annual reports, meeting papers and correspondence. Many files relate to amalgamations with Prospect County Council and Illawarra County Council.
The files are arranged in chronological order by the file start date.
