These files detail the administration and funding of the Technical Jobs for Women Program, designed to provide women with work experience and formal training in occupations in which they had traditionally been under-represented. The records consist of a sample taken from both the public and private sector files maintained as part of the program.

Positions funded under the program included technical positions, such as trainee drafter, electrical engineer, or environmental scientist, apprenticeships, such as apprentice motor mechanic, plumber, or greenkeeper, and administrative positions, such as trainee auditor, town planner, or computer programmer.
