This series records the proceedings of the Executive Committee meetings.The Executive Committee met approximately fortnightly and developed policy, received reports from Committees, approved expenditure, planned conferences and dealt with administration in more detail than the National Fitness Council. It also dealt with the normal business of the National Fitness Council which met less regularly. This business included the provision of public health and fitness facilities for example National Fitness Camps, Play centres, fostering health and fitness programs in other community groups including the Police Boys' Club and Youth Hostels, church organisations, and approving grants to assist with sporting facilities in local and regional organisations and in schools .
The Executive Committee lapsed following its meeting of 17 November, 1965 while when a new Constitution for the Council was under consideration. The National Fitness Council assumed the functions of the Executive Committee.
