The collection consists of 72 inventory items, originally only paper files, but the collection has since been digitised in its entirety. The Guide is the output of a research database. It was first published online by the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre (Austehc) in April 2004. The records were transferred to Austehc in 2000 for processing. The physical records were transferred to the State Library of Victoria (MS 13489).
