The Armin Aleksander Öpik Guide to Records documents and contextualises the records of Armin Aleksander Öpik, a geologist at the Bureau of Mineral Resources, Canberra. The guide describes 309 inventory items (mostly paper files). The Guide documents records grouped into nine series, and covers Öpik's work with the Bureau of Mineral Resources, along with working files, slides and personal papers. The total collection occupies 356 linear cm of shelf space (or its equivalent). The Guide is the output of a research database. It was first produced in paper format by the Australian Science Archives Project in 1992. An online version of the Guide was published by the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre in April 2004. The records were transferred to the Basser Library at the Australian Academy of Science (MS205). The collection was listed by Lisa O'Sullivan with Gavan McCarthy and Tim Sherratt.Data time period: 1992
