Full description

These registers record details of the children admitted to Daceyville Public School. The registers are arranged chronologically.

The early entries have a separate registration sequence for boys and girls. The information listed for each child registered is as follows: register number; date of admission; pupil's name; sex (male or female); date of birth; religious denomination; name of previous school and date of leaving (often 'first school' or ‘new’ is written for kindergarten admission); name and address of parent or guardian (parent/guardian occupation can also be recorded); date of admission to each grade; date of leaving the school; the name of the school, college or university to which the child transferred; and the occupation entered.

Admission registers in paper format ceased in approximately 1995 when transfer to the Office Administration System in Schools (OASIS) commenced.
