Full description

Daceyville Infants School in the County of Cumberland opened in May 1914. In January 1918 the School was converted to a public school and continued with this classification until December 1926. For the period January 1927 until December 1947 the School contained both primary and secondary departments. During this period the Home Science curriculum was taught from 1927- 1932; the Commercial curriculum from 1927 - 1944; and the Junior Technical syllabus from 1945- 1947. In January 1948 the Daceyville school was identified as a Central School which consisted of both primary secondary education sections and was characteristic of districts where the population is too small to support a High School. The Central School continued until December 1959. In 1960 Daceyville again became a Public School. In 2000 the School was located at Joffre Cres, Daceyville in the District of Bondi (1) Endnotes:
