Full description This project was established to document the involvement of the Australian Science Archives Project (ASAP) and subsequent organisations with the records of Albert Lloyd George Rees, FAA (1916-1989). The collection of the records of Rees, Foundation Chief of the CSIRO Division of Chemical Physics, began with a visit to Dr Rees' home on 13 June 1989 only a few months before he died. He was aware that his death was imminent and was keen to ensure that arrangements were made to preserve his records. On 8 April 1990, after his death, a second accession was received from his widow and arrangements made for the collection of the remainder of the materials some of which were passed to a biographer. The records were deposited at the Basser Library, Australian Academy of Science.
