QFAB is a leading Australasian bioinformatics facility providing high quality data management and analysis workflow, developing new tools and research methods and, delivering specialised training and strategic advice.QFAB provides customised solutions for:- Computational Biology - using a blend of computer science and biological knowledge these types of projects require a detailed understanding of the biological question, experimental design, analytical process and relevant delivery in a format that the scientist can understand. This also includes the development of analytical pipelines and novel modelling approaches. - Life Science eResearch - focusing on the informatics end of the bioinformatics spectrum, QFAB delivers hardware and software solutions linked to data sources. Examples of these include the provision of data linkages (SRS, UCSC), database design, access to cpu clusters and storage, access to analytical software and delivery of web interfaces.
