Full description

This example workflow demonstrates how to use the Ensembl Variant Effect Predictor (VEP) tool to connect to the Ensembl database using the Galaxy workflow system. The VEP tool predicts the functional consequence of known and unknown variants. Predictions from the VEP tool can also be filtered based on some criteria, this is shown in workflow by filtering out synonymous_variants and leaving only the non_synonymous variants. The predictions are then grouped based on the functional consequence and a graphical bar chart summarises the number of variants per consequence type.
