Full description
We designed three experiments to investigate how humans rapidly detect, prioritise, and process faces in the peripheral visual field under naturalistic viewing conditions. The dataset contains all behavioural, eye-tracking, and electroencephalography (EEG) data collected as part of this project. Experiment 1 examined behavioural performance during rapid face and food detection and includes valid data from 30 participants. Experiment 2 combined behavioural responses with EEG recordings to investigate the neural dynamics underlying peripheral target selection and includes valid data from 20 participants. Experiment 3 was a follow-up study to the second experiment and includes valid data from 20 participants.Issued: 10 06 2026
