We designed three experiments to investigate how humans rapidly detect and prioritise faces in the peripheral visual field under naturalistic viewing conditions. The dataset includes all experimental stimuli and custom analysis code developed for this project. The stimulus set comprises 99 human face images selected from the Wild Faces Database, 99 food images, and 99 object images that were used across the experiments. The code repository contains all custom scripts used for data processing, statistical analyses, and visualisation. Specifically, it includes scripts for conducting paired-samples t-tests, one-way repeated-measures analyses of variance (ANOVAs), and multivariate time-resolved decoding analyses of EEG data. Together, the stimuli and code provide the resources necessary to reproduce the reported analyses, verify the findings, and facilitate future research on face perception, attentional selection, and the neural mechanisms supporting rapid visual processing.Issued: 09 06 2026
