Largely concerned with improvements to particular ports and kinds of port equipment. Recommendations of the Committee were submitted to the Commonwealth Director of Shipping. There are two groups of correspondence. The first appears to be the chairman's own copies of papers.

The classification is an alphabetical one and correspondence from the following groups only, has survived - C.D. P R S T and W. The second is the Committee's main correspondence with a numerical classification.
