These documents are miscellaneous papers received by the Corporation from James Busby. They include: Memorandum James Busby to Charles Cowper re error in account rendered by John Busby for supervising the erection of a hydraulic pump on the Orphan School estate, 29 September 1826; Statement of articles supplied to Mr Kinghorne's men at the New Establishment from the Orphan School Estate for the year ended 31 December 1826; Abstract of expenditure and proceeds of the Agricultural Establishment, 12 February 1825-31 March 1826; Schedule of rations, slops and allowances to convict labourers on the Orphan School Estate (n.d.), probably 1826 (watermark 1824); Return of people employed on the Orphan School Estate - April 1826; Nominal roll of convict servants employed on the Orphan School Estate - October 1826; Amount of victualling, expenses and wages of people employed on the Orphan School Estate, 12 February 1825-31 March 1826; Abstracts of rations issued to men employed on the Agricultural Establishment, 12 February 1825-31 March 1826 and 1 April-30 June 1826; A few letters and miscellaneous papers relating to the management of the Male Orphan Farm 1825-26; and, letters of James Busby addressed to the Corporation on the subject of the termination of his services and the compensation due to him for premature infraction of contract, 1826-27 (4/394.4).
