These are from successive Masters (and Matrons) of the Female Orphan School, Parramatta, and addressed to the Archdeacon and to the Clerk of the Corporation. The letters relate to a variety of matters concerning the running of the orphanage.

Included are requisitions and accounts for stores, clothing and domestic equipment submitted by James Orr, accountant and storekeeper to the Institution.

Note:
The earliest records in this series precede the establishment of the Trusees of the Clergy and School Lands on 9 March 1826.
