These are letters addressed to the Archdeacon, to the Clerk of the Corporation, and to the Commissioners, by clergymen, catechists, and schoolmasters stationed in Sydney and settlements near and far; they deal with a great variety of matters, and cast a revealing light on some aspects of life in the colony at the period in which they were written.

Note:
The earliest records in this series precede the establishment of the Trustees of the Clergy and School Lands on 9 March 1826.
