This bundle includes sample menus from mental hospitals in New South Wales and overseas (chiefly Britain), often with lists giving the cost of various food items. The bundle also contains circulars from the Inspector General of Mental Hospitals (Sydney) giving the value of calories for various articles of diet, with cost and daily consumption of food per patient in New South Wales and other states' mental hospitals.
