However, a number of files from both Offices retained their original file numbers. Files registered with a SM prefix have been integrated with the other Regional Office files. These files include: submissions for grants of monies from community groups, such as Right to Life and the Sea Horse Club; statistical returns; the purchase of new or major pieces of medical equipment and related technology; internal and hospital newsletters; the Medicare dispute between 1974-75; research data; health inspectors' reports on hospitals; press releases; correspondence concerning alterations to the Prison Medical Service as a result of the Nagle Royal Commission; the proposed utilisation of gases produced at the Malabar Sewerage Treatment plant as an energy source for the boiler system at Prince Henry Hospital; and assistance given to Darwin evacuees after Cyclone Tracy.
