The Southern Metropolitan Regional Office of the Department of Public Health was probably established by the end of 1964. (1)The Southern Metropolitan Regional Office assumed responsibility for the area previously administered by the Inner Metropolitan Regional Office after the latter was abolished in 1983. (2)
The Southern Metropolitan Regional Office was closed during 1988. (3)
