This book, Waving the Waratah, was commissioned by the New South Wales Bicentennial Council; researched and written over six months between mid-September 1988 and March 1989.
The book examines the history of the Council and spans almost a decade of preparations by the Council, as well as the events and projects during the year-long celebrations.
