Mostly letters to the Commissioner in Charge of the Western Gold District stationed at Bathurst concerning the issue of mining and business licences, disputed claims, the gold escort and need for an increased Police force and a Chinese interpreter as well as half yearly reports upon the gold fields which provide an insight into friction between Chinese and Europeans and life upon the diggings.(5/7945 part). 1 vol (part).
