This volume shows the total number of, and fees received from, licences issued for Crown lands, private lands and double licence penalties for each month in the Western Gold Districts. Also noted is the form of payment, eg. cheque, gold, silver, gold dust as well as the method of transit to the Treasury.

A record was also kept of the number of blank forms and butts forwarded monthly to the Audit Office to verify the accounts returned by the Gold Commissioner.
