The records comprise Crown Solicitor's advisings relating to alimony - Matrimonial Causes Act No.5 of 1929, Section 3; and, correspondence, papers and advisings relating to the Child Welfare Act 1939, and the Neglected Children and Juvenile Offenders Act 1905.

The records also include a small quantity of correspondence addressed to the Chamber Magistrate from the Director of the Marriage Guidance Council of New South Wales; and correspondence, papers and advisings relating to the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1923. The latter includes correspondence relating to reciprocal enforcement of Maintenance Orders in certain Commonwealth countries.
