The registers in this series provide details of employees who worked for the Board of Water Supply & Sewerage (1888-1892), Metropolitan Board of Water Supply & Sewerage (1892-1924), and the Metropolitan Water, Sewerage & Drainage Board (1925-1987) at various periods between 1888 and 1971. The registers contain details such as name, date of birth, age, position, salary and allowances, qualifications and date of appointment. Initially the registers were arranged chronologically but as staff numbers grew, they were arranged chronologically by department. The series is incomplete.
