This series consists of B/W or colour negative films film rolls produced from aerial surveys conducted from 1937.

The Department of Main Roads/Roads and Traffic Authority undertook aerial photography for 734 projects consisting of 1,055 films containing 7,355 runs of photography. Each film has an identifying prefix.
