These volumes record details of all prisoners entering the institution including those transferred from another institution. Each entry provides the following information: from which gaol transferred; name of prisoner; date of birth; marital status, religious denomination, and whether Aboriginal; court passing sentence and date sentenced; offence and length of sentence; date sentence commenced; and non-parole period.
