These volumes document the daily state of inmates (prisoners) and staff. The numbers of staff on duty or on leave type is noted. The inmate numbers received and/or discharged.
The record documents the following; Condition of rations Requests of prisoners, Condition of cells, present at Musters, number of prisoners awaiting a visit. The record also documents; Officers on duty, time of dismissal of warders, Divine Service, Choir practice, Female wing, and Important Occurrences. The record is signed off daily by the Gaoler.
