These volumes document the daily actions of the Deputy Superintendent in the role of reporting to the Governor. The record documents responding to prompted questions such as; At what time did you report all correct to the Governor, Were you constantly alert, were you present at all Musters, Did you carefully inspect the rations, etc. The record also documents the number of prisoner’s present, received and/or discharged. Signed by the Deputy Superintendent & initialled by the Governor.

Bound volumes appear to be what is known as a “B44” a purpose printed volume; this record is therefore prevalent across all prison agencies.
