These volumes document the daily state of inmates (prisoners) and staff. The ‘Distribution’ of staff being their duty assigned or their leave type is noted. The inmate numbers received and/or discharged, numbers separately confined, also includes reports on ration inspection, musters attended, official visitors and visits to prison after 5:30pm. There is also recorded a section for ‘Directions and Special Occurrences’. The record is daily signed off by the Governor.
