Full description
These Course Outline files relate to the course subjects taught each term, with each file relating to a specific course subject. The subjects varied, ranging from sports and recreational activities and interests such as water-skiing, yoga and architecture to theoretical subjects such as History and Philosophy of Recreation and “administrative” subjects such as Curriculum Development. The Course’s structure was reflected in the file numbering system used, with each course subject assigned a number dependent upon which type of course it was. Compulsory foundation courses were assigned a number in the 400s, elective theoretical courses a number in the 300s, elective practical courses a number in the 200s and field work a number in the 100s. The files are arranged numerically according to the unique number assigned to the subject.
The Course Outline files contain: exam questions; reading reference lists; suggested and actual programme for the course; resume or evaluation report of the course; course outlines eg. objectives, requirements (assignments and examinations), content and reading; course notes; seminar topics; copies of any relevant legislation or regulations and other course related papers. The files in this series appear to have been created and used by the NSW National Fitness Council and other teachers of the Diploma course.
