Full description

This series represents a 5% random sample of Family Day Care Centre Licensing Files. These centres are non-profit making ventures administered by local municipalities or benevolent societies often in the home of the conductor/carer. They are generally automatically licensed annually until either the licence is revoked or they cease to exist. The files contain licences of both conductor and controller of the family day care centres, licence applications under the Child Welfare Act of 1939, reports of visits by District Officers and correspondence.
