The series consists of registers recording admission and discharge details of youths sent to Girls' Training Home, Parramatta.

The registers have a double page format arranged by week with one page recording 'Movements Inward' (admissions) to the facility, and the facing page recording 'Movements Outward' (discharges) in chronological order.

Details recorded for inward admissions include date of admission, name, date of birth, religion, new committals (offences), name of court, transfers from other institutions (named), absconders returned, leave returned, shelter returned, hospital returned, and remand cases.
