These albums contain photographs of road construction work between Duaringa and Charters Towers in Queensland during World War II as part of the Northern Inland Highway. Construction was undertaken by the NSW government on behalf of the Commonwealth government and took place between August 1942 and April 1943. The Queensland Main Roads Commission built the adjoining section from Ipswich to Duaringa.
