The State Operational Control Centre log books record operational messages received or sent to the Eastern Command (Australian Military Forces responsible for the New South Wales area).

The volumes contain a brief record of operational conversations with the Director Operations, Chief Warden, or other persons, and operational messages received through control phones for which action is necessary. These are arranged by serial number. The log books themselves are arranged in chronological order and record the date, time, and the signing in and out of duty officers.
