This series contains minutes of the general and special meetings of the Finance Committee of the Yanko Shire Council.

The Minutes were created monthly and recorded chronologically.

The proceedings of every council meeting were transcribed into a book. The general meetings record correspondence and reports received by the Committee, motions and reports to be submitted to the General Council, lists of accounts to be authorised, and any other relevant business. The minutes document the variety of activities for which the Committee was also responsible, including: authorisation of special expenditure, such as purchase or sale of council assets, and salary increases; requests for donations or loans; and other matters relating to the financial administration of the council.
