This series contains the typed minutes of the monthly meetings of the Narrandera and District Public Library Committee for the Narrandera Municipal Council.
The minutes in the register are backwards in order. Those with the earliest date are at the back of the book, and those with the latest date are at the front.
Information contained in these minutes includes: those present and apologies from those absent; place the meeting was held; nomination of chairman; library opening hours; conditions governing the lending of books; overdue books and fines applied; steel shelving for the books; donations received and letters of thanks sent; Librarian's report; correspondence sent and received; closing of the library for stocktake; cleaning of the library; purchase of a typewriter for the library; number of books allowed per borrower; the library's banking account; new books to be ordered; a children's library; establishment of a library unit at Barellan; resignation of committee members; purchase of books; maintenance of the library building; and any general business.
