This series consists of folders containing correspondence, papers and information collected for reference purposes over the period of Pam Allan's Shadow Ministry for Planning, Environment and Women's Affairs between 1988 and 1995.

The information collected in this series also extends into Pam Allan's time as Minister for the Environment with some of the papers dating as late as 1999. The files are arranged by subject and are mostly in alphabetical order, however there are some anomolies within the alphabetical ordering system.

The subjects covered reflect matters related to Pam Allan's Shadow Ministry portfolio including women's issues, development issues, waste management, water management, forestry and wilderness issues. The contents of the files include publications and pamphlets, correspondence, reports and recommendations and meeting notes. At the end of the series is a collection of press releases issued by Pam Allan as Shadow Minister for Planning, Environment and Women's Affairs.
