Full description

This series consists of reports of incidents within Endeavour House at Tamworth which resulted in punishments being issued to detainees. The need for these records appears to have arisen from the Children (Detention Centres) Act 1987 (Act No.57, 1987).

Each record of punishment is in the form of a single sheet on which are recorded details of name of resident, date of birth, offence, date and time of offence, date and time of enquiry into offence, reporting officer and position, plea (guilty or not guilty), evidence submitted, decision, punishment, and reason for particular punishment.

The individual forms for each month are stapled into booklets, and these appear to have been kept as an internal record within the institution.
