Full description

The purpose of an admission register was to record basic details about children admitted to the school as well as information about their parents or guardians. The registers were also used to record the progress of the children through various classes and the date of their leaving the school. Pupils are entered into the register in order of admission.  This register appears to be for Bomaderry Intellectually Handicapped School, which operated in the Public School during these years.

This volumes contains information pertaining to each student including: date of admission; pupil's name; date of birth; religious denomination; name of previous school or workshop and date of leaving. The pupil's progress in the school, date of leaving and any occupation entered into on leaving school is also recorded. The following details are recorded about the child's parents or guardians: the father's, mother's or guardian's name.

Admission registers in paper format ceased in approximately 1995 when transfer to the Office Administration System in Schools (OASIS) commenced.
