Bomaderry Provisional School in the county of Camden was established in July 1867. (1) In 1867 a provisional school required a minimum of 15 pupils. The school became a public school in 1880, when a minimum of 30 pupils was required for that classification. (2) It appears that a unit for intellectually handicapped students operated within Bomaderry Public School from 1967, that possibly would become Havenlee School for Special Purposes in 1981. (3)
In 2014 the school remained open. (4)
