The series contains all paper based records relating to the deliberations of the Special Commission of Inquiry into Acute Care in NSW Public Hospitals including: transcripts of public and private hearings;  notes of meetings held between inquiry staff and stakeholders; submissions from members of the public and stakeholders in the public health system; correspondence between the Special Commission and sub-mitters and stakeholders; information provided to the special commission in response to summonses; copies of the transcript and papers from two conferences of experts; copies of the Letters Patent issued by the Governor of NSW; copies of state, federal and international reports used in developing the Special Commission’s recommendations; a copy of the interim report delivered in July 2008 (1 volume); a copy of the final report delivered in November 2008 (3 volumes and an overview volume).
