This series of rate books from the Narrandera Municipal Council records the payment of rates by property owners. Each year, every local council was required to set the level of, and collect rates in respect of all rateable properties within their municipal or shire district.
This series consists of the following information: the name, address and occupation of the owner and the occupier; the situation, areas or dimensions of the land; the rates due, and the rates paid, including any arrears.
