This series contains post mortem reports from aircraft fatalities.

The reports were recorded by the Division of Forensic Medicine which was established in November 1961 as a specialist Division within the Department of Public Health later becoming the Institute of Forensic Medicine. The Division had previously been the Government Medical Officers Branch, a general purpose branch.

The records comprise of A4 papers, medical reports, test results papers, report of death to coroner and police reports. The files are arranged in order of year with a sequential number.
