This series consists of the bound, official minutes of the Diversification Committee of Council, and of its successor, the Planning and Development Committee of Council of the Newcastle College of Advanced Education.
The minutes of the two committees are bound in a single volume, which includes the first two meetings of the Diversification Committee, held in March and September 1976, and all the meetings of the Planning and Development Committee from its commencement in February 1978, until its final session in February 1981. A third meeting of the Diversification Committee was held in February 1977, but the minutes of this meeting appear not to have been available at the time when this series was being prepared for binding, and their present whereabouts, if any, are not known.
The series concludes in February, 1981, after which point the Planning and Development Committee was incorporated in the Academic and Planning Committee of Council.
