The series consists of the working papers of the Sydney Opera House Trust's Cultural Programme Committee.
The papers in the series include copies of minutes and agendas of the Committee, along with correspondence relating to issues discussed in Committee meetings, recommendations made to the Trust, extracts from Trust meeting minutes relevant to the Cultural Programme Committee, lists of matters requiring attention following each Committee meeting, proposals for forward programme planning and use of performance spaces, projected budgets, requests for subsidies or assistance, comments on various programmes and performances, reports on the use of the Opera House, and policies relating to issues such as bookings.
The series includes some papers relevant to early planning for use of the Opera House, including correspondence and reports relating to plans for the official opening.
