This series contains the records of the Technical Committee on Agricultural Chemicals.

The functions of the Committee were to receive submissions and to evaluate the implications including trade implications of the use of agricultural chemicals in Australia; to evaluate the efficacy, safety and ecological hazards of agricultural chemical products and to recommend precautions in accordance with good agricultural practice. (1)

The committee was formed by the Coordinating Committee on Agricultural Chemicals (CCAC) in the mid-1960s and was re-established as the Agricultural Chemicals Advisory Committee by the Australian Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Council on 4 July 1989. (2)
