Full description
The Record of Condemnings was a register of items of equipment which had been designated to be of no further use or value to the school, and accordingly had been disposed of. These registers were printed in a standard format. At the head of each page the name of the school was entered. Below, the page was divided into columns. These columns recorded the date on which the item was condemned, the name of the item, the folio on which it appeared in the Stock or Equipment Book, its serial number, the signature of the officer authorised to condemn, the designation of this officer, the method of the item’s disposal, the signature of the disposing officer, and their designation. A final column was provided for remarks. The series from Woolooma Public School consists of a single volume, which records the disposal of three items of worn-out school equipment on the 24th July, 1973. No other entries are to be found in this volume.
